MARYSVILLE, Ohio (ADAMS) – Investigators are saying a plastic bag blocking an air intake is what caused high carbon monoxide levels at a Marysville hotel.
Sixteen people were sickened at the Hampton Inn on January 29th including fourteen who had to be transported to hospitals.
According to state fire marshal reports, hotel management told investigators maintenance crews had been working on a heater for the pool. A carbon monoxide detector was installed near the pool but it failed to activate.
