INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – It’s probation for an Indianapolis officer caught on tape punching a student back in 2019.
A judge yesterday vacated Officer Robert Lawson’s convictions for perjury and filing false information in the case, and sentenced Lawson to a little under a year’s worth of probation.
Lawson has been suspended from the Indianapolis Metro Police Department since being caught on video punching a student at Indianapolis’ Shortridge High School. Indy police commanders are moving to fire him.
