FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police spent hours at a southwest home Sunday night.
They were called just before 8 p.m. for a woman reporting that her husband had threatened her and that there was a protective order in place that he had violated.
Officers at the scene attempted to contact and arrest the man on the 2000 block of Carlton Ct., but he refused to come out. He was eventually considered a barricaded subject. As a result, the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Emergency Services Team, Crisis Response Team, and Air Support Unit were paged out around 9:40 pm to assist.
At approximately 11:30 pm, the suspect exited the house and was taken into custody. Travis L. Gaddis is now charged with Felony Invasion of Privacy and Felony Intimidation.

On Sunday, May 15th, 2023, at around 7:50 pm, Fort Wayne Police Department officers were dispatched to a domestic situation. The victim reported that her husband had threatened her with a weapon and that there was a protection order in place, protecting her. Officers attempted to contact and arrest the husband on felony charges in the 2000 block of Carlton Ct., but he refused to exit the house. He continued to not leave the house after repeated announcements. All attempts were unsuccessful; therefore, he was then considered a barricaded subject. As a result, the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Emergency Services Team, Crisis Response Team, and Air Support Unit were paged out around 9:40 pm to assist. At approximately 11:30 pm, the suspect exited the house and was taken into custody without further incident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
