UPDATE (March 29, 2022):
Fort Wayne police say that a suspect has been detained in a shooting that happened early Saturday morning at the Coliseum Inn.
The victim was left with critical injuries. Police now say a 31-year-old Fort Wayne man has been charged in the case.
FWPD officials released the following:
On 3/26/22 at approximately 12:41am the FWPD responded to the Coliseum Inn, 1020 North Coliseum to the report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a male suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. The male was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition. Officers and Detectives of the FWPD were able develop a suspect early on in the investigation.
The suspect was apprehended a short time later and was charged with the following crimes.

Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say that they have a person of interest in a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.
Police say that one man is in critical condition following the shooting at the Coliseum Inn.
Right now, investigators have not released many details and are asking for tips from the public.
The FWPD released the following:
On Saturday, 03/26/2022, at approximately 00:41 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 1020 N Coliseum Blvd reference a shooting. Officers arrived and located the adult/male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in life threatening condition.
Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and Crime Scene Technicians are processing the scene in an effort to obtain additional details. A person of interest is currently being interview by detectives.
