FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are asking for help in an ongoing investigation that was launched earlier this month when a man was found dead in a home on Turf Lane, off Aboite Center Road.
The coroner later said he had been shot in the head.
Police say that right now, there are more questions than answers.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for assistance from the community in reference to the Homicide of Kenneth Behny, age 74. Kenneth Behny was discovered deceased on Monday, 08 2021 at his home in the 3600 block of Turf Ln.
The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for anyone who has not checked or provided security camera footage to the Fort Wayne Police Department to please review camera footage and call the FWPD Detective Bureau with any suspicious activity or tips pertaining to this case.

The Allen County Coroner has identified a man found dead in a southwest Fort Wayne home this week.
The Coroner’s Office has determined that 74-year-old Kenneth Ralph Behny was shot in the head before he was found in the house on Turf Lane, off Aboite Center on Monday.
At the time, police launched a death investigation and said that per protocol, they were treating it as a homicide. Their investigation now continues with the coroner officially ruling Behmy’s death a homicide.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office released the following on Wednesday:
The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin for the male victim that was found unresponsive within his residence at 3633 Turf Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The decedent was suffering from apparent gunshot wound, on Monday, November 8, 2021, at approximately 13:03 hours. The decedent was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority. The decedent has been positively identified as Kenneth Ralph Behny, a male, white, 74 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Cause of Death has been determined to Gunshot Wound of Head and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Kenneth Ralph Behny is the 36th Homicide in Fort Wayne, and Allen County for 2021. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say a death investigation was launched Tuesday afternoon after a man was found in a home on Turf Lane, off Aboite Center Road.
Just after 1 p.m., officers responded to the home, and shortly after paramedics were called. They pronounced the man deceased in the home.
Right now, there are more questions than answers. However, some information could come when the coroner releases the man’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of his death.
FWPD officials released the following:
On Nov. 8th, 2021 at approximately 1:03 pm the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an unknown problem call at the 3600 block of Turf Ln. Upon arrival Officers located an unconscious adult male in a residence on Turf Ln. Shortly after Officers arrival, Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male deceased.
The circumstances surrounding the death are not clear. All death investigations, per department protocol are investigated as homicides, until proven otherwise. This is done to preserve evidence, in case a crime is uncovered. Detectives, Medics, and the Coroner made the scene to assist in the investigation. The identity, cause and manner of death will be released by the Coroner’s Office.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office.
