DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Officials in DeKalb County say that a Butler woman was hurt early Tuesday morning in a crash.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says her vehicle hit a trailer attached to a semi that was stopped on a county road.
Police say Peggy A. Puckett, 72, was driving west on County Road 40 just before 6 a.m. where the tractor-trailer was stationary with its hazard lights on. The driver of the semi was sitting in a piece of equipment at the time.
Puckett drove into and up the back of the trailer. When an ambulance arrived, she complained of chest pain was taken to a hospital.
The other driver who was sitting in the piece of equipment during the impact and was not injured.
